Hi, my name is Dexter

I was living at Sunrise Beach when I suddenly got very sick, a bit more than two years ago.

My body got weaker with each day until I finally didn't have the strength to get up and walk.

​

I've had given up and crawled under a bungalow where I was waiting to die when I was found by one of my two legged friends of HalfwayHouse 4 Paws.

​

The woman took care for me over night and brought me to a clinic on the mainland the next day.

It was a long journey and I had to stay for a long time at the animal Hospital.

​

I was diagnosed with heartworm and Ehrlichiosis Canis.

Without immediate intensive medical care, I wouldn't have survived.

​

At the age approximately 10 years I am feeling that I'm not a young puppy anymore.

Living at the streets would be too tough for me and

a journey to a forever home overseas would also be too stressful.

 

That’s why I am happy to stay at the Animal Rescue Center on Koh Lipe.

They take very good care of me here and I receive lots of love and cuddles.

I am not the only one here and I know that my two-legged friends from HalfwayHouse 4 Paws are always struggling to cover the ongoing costs for the care of me all my furry friends.

 

We have no other place to turn too and we are so grateful for the wonderful care that we receive.
