This poor girl was found by one of our volunteers and now after receiving intensive medical care for one month, she is slowly improving.
But there is still a long way to go and Sprite needs your support.
Her body is covered with lesions and ulcers. Sprite is suffering from severe erythema multiforme; a rare inflammatory reaction pattern of the skin and mucous membranes.
As in her case the underlying cause is often unknown.
Sprite needs daily wound care, a combination of immunomodulatory medications, antibiotics, analgesics, and a special diet.
The expenses for her medications, medical wound dressings and diet added up to EUR 250.- in one month.
Unfortunately she is by far not the only stray who is currently receiving medical treatment at our Animal Rescue Center on Koh Lipe.
Even though the outlook for Sprite is guarded we believe that she deserves this chance.
We are running on our limits with our resources and we need urgent help to continue caring for those who would otherwise be forgotten and left without hope.
